About FOVC

Friends of Volunteering Clydesdale is voluntary not for profit organisation committed to the continual improvement of the social, economical and environmental prosperity of the Clydesdale area of South Lanarkshire.

To ensure all of Clydesdale is represented we work in close partnership with other local groups including the youth orientated Clyder project and VIVA, a club for the seniors in Clyde Valley.

Through a team of dedicated volunteers, FOVC has engaged in various projects in the local community including....

Nifty@Fifty

Training course for the over 50’s to give them the skills and confidence to re-enter the work place.

Knitting

Group of volunteers who undertake knitting for hospitals, the fire service and the elderly. They have also shipped items to Romania and to the armed forces in Afghanistan.

Macular Degeneration

Providing social opportunities and assistance and materials to people with eyesight problems.

Farms Project

In this time of rapid rural change in the community, FOVC are involved in a partnership to record the vastly disappearing heritage.

Energy Efficiency

A Climate Challenge Funded project to reduce the carbon footprint of the Clydesdale area.
